Literature Text

Far from the neon glow of the city and the corruption that continues to build with in, lies a field of sweet smells and sounds that make you feel as if you’re walking on top of a sea of water. As you look out upon the rolling sea of grass, kissed by the silver glow of the moon’s light, you can view the edge of a forest. In this forest the trees have grown so tall that they appear to be trying to grab the stars out of the sky. Deep with in the lush forest where, only slight beams of the moons light break through, the smells of pine and sap fill the air. The further you walk into this deep lush forest there is an underlying smell of an ocean breeze and a far off sound of crashing waves. The lush forest breaks into a small clearing where the forest floor rushes off into the black sea below. The reflection of the moon shines atop the black sea, appearing like fish aglow beneath its dark black surface.  The loud rush of water fills your ears as the waves continuously throw themselves against the unwavering rocks below.

Atop of this cliff sat a woman whose face was full of thought and understanding. Her deep auburn hair gently blew in the wind leaving her pale shoulders bare. Her eyes shown like golden treasures that man throughout time has died to obtain. Her lips were red and soft like a rose in bloom and her skin like satin against the moon soft silver glow. She wore a dark blue dress which hugged every curve blowing ever so slightly making her appear to anyone who might have passed by like a mirage on the dessert horizon. She appeared to be deep in thought, pondering about what the world has come to be. She was no more than 20 years of age and 5 foot 7. She used many different names, none of which her own, as she traveled through cities watching the innocent become corrupt and the corrupt gaining power.

There is a sound of movement behind her, growing closer as she continued to be lost in thought, not moving an inch. A white timber wolf walked out of some brush behind the woman with no name. A look of understanding filled its crystal blue eyes as it quietly walked up behind her and sat staring out in the same direction as the woman with no name. The women slowly blinked and looked at the wolf which had returned her tired stare. She slowly reached her right hand and scratched behind the wolf’s left ear. The woman with no name silently spoke to the wolf, “Time to go already?” The wolf replied with a low ruff and put its left paw on her right leg. The woman sighed as she slowly pulled herself to her feet. Her and the beautiful white timber wolf, both looking like a dream from which no one would want to awake from, began to slowly walk back through the lush green forest that so desperately tried to reach for the stars, through the silver sea of dew topped grass and back to the neon glow of the city which had begun to crumble from the corruption that built with in.
The Writing was a descriptive writing assignment for my English class and I just really liked it :)

I resubmitted this work because I figured it was kind of hard to read the other one, and it just more simpler now :)
